Things to do in Puno (EXPLORING SILLUSTANI & petting Llamas 🦙)

Sillustani, Puno is a pre-Inca cemetery on the shores of Lake Umayo near Puno. The tombs called chullpas are perched atop a plateau that offers out of this world views. We visited chullpas de sillustani at sunset after we learned a bit about typical Peru food and got to pet a few llamas 🦙.

Puno is located in the southeast corner of Peru near Lake Titicaca. This was an unexpected trip for us. We’re so happy we got to experience this part of the country and enjoy some of the best things to do in Puno.
