Solis Master 5000 - How to troubleshoot a PCB using only cheap component tester

In this video we try to troubleshoot a control board for an espresso machine using only a cheap, $15, component tester. Originally, I got out the component tester to find out if it could check triacs, and indeed in can test some of them. Then I set about to see if we could locate the problem using only the component tester.

We cover how an automatic espresso machine works, how to evaluate an unknown PCB to develop an understanding of what the major parts do, and how to use the component tester along with the datasheets to do a go/no-go type of test.
