Jim Henson Company Studio Tour - Puppets, Muppets, and More - Hollywood

We are huge Jim Henson fans! We felt incredibly lucky to have this experience and almost shed a tear walking through those iconic gates! We weren't sure we were going to make this video but we knew some Henson fans would appreciate it and for THE 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE MUPPETS! We bring you some of our experience hearing the history, seeing the amazing puppets, and even Brian Henson's office (he was nice enough to come out and talk with us). What a nice man with an incredible life!

History: The Jim Henson Company Lot on the corner of La Brea Avenue and Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood was originally built by Charlie Chaplin, the property served as Charlie Chaplin Studios from 1917 to 1953, which later earned the site designation as a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument. The property has gone through several changes in ownership including the original studio of Hanna-Barbera Productions, the shooting location for the Adventures of Superman and Perry Mason television series. From 1966 to 1999, it was the headquarters for A&M Records. Since 2000, it has the headquarters of The Jim Henson Company, including the Henson Soundstage and Henson Recording Studios.

Every once and awhile they put on a improv show called Puppet Up, It's for adults only though! If you get a chance to go it is worth it to splurge for the VIP Tour!
