Perk about being based in the magnificent Loire Valley? All the day trips I am going to be able to take with a few Euros thanks to the French train system.

On a glorious Sunday - Mother's Day - I headed to lovely Amboise, once a royal city, and got treated to beautiful weather, glorious vistas, history, and of course, some food and wine!
