Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) - A Guide for the Public

Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) is an impairment in someone's thinking (e.g. forgetting words) that is not significant enough to interfere with their day to day activity but is a recognisable change for the individual and those around them. It is estimated to affect 6-36% of people over the age of 60.
This film funded by the Greater Manchester and Eastern Cheshire Strategic Clinical Network and created in partnership with Age UK Trafford, hears from people living with MCI and professionals about why it is important to identify MCI.
This film supports the work of Dementia United (the dementia devolution strategy for Greater Manchester) but we encourage you to use this to help raise public awareness about MCI.
