Tonga Whale Conservation Letter

Matthew and Alex share and discuss a recent open letter to the Government in Tonga about ethics around humpback whale interactions, particularly by image makers. The letter comes from the Focused On Nature, Great Whale Conservancy, Mission Blue, Ocean Elders, Whale And Dolphin Conservation organisations and is also signed by many more prominent ocean individuals. The letter urges for rules around interacting with whales to be more strictly enforced for the benefit of the whales, as the number of tourists has increased significantly over the last few years.
