DROWNING IN PARALLELS! 🚨 New Product: 2023-24 Panini Donruss Optic Basketball Mega Box Review

In today's video, I'll be opening and reviewing two of the brand new 2023-24 Panini Donruss Optic Basketball Mega boxes. These Megas sell for $55 a box in store and online. Donruss Optic features a 250 card base set consisting of 200 veterans and 50 Rated Rookie cards. Each box contains 7 8-card packs. Expect to find 14 exclusive Pink Hyper parallels and 9 inserts or parallels per box on average. Look for Holo, Hyper Pink, and SSP Checkerboard non-numbered cards. Serial parallels to find include Blue Seismic(#'d/249), and Hyper Orange(#'d/99). Chase Signature and Rookie Signature Autographs. Insert sets include the returning Splash, My House, Winner Stays, Optical Illusions, White Hot Rookies, Red Hot Rookies, and Express Lane. New to Optic retail is the case hit Phazes insert, adding an exciting chase to the product for 2023. Insert parallels are limited to non-numbered Holo and Purple. Optic highlights the new rookie class of Victor Wembanyama, Scoot Henderson, Brandon Miller, Keyonte George, Jamie Jaquez, and Ausar and Amen Thompson.

🚨FINAL RATING: 2/5 🃏🃏🚨

🃏🃏 for FUN FACTOR: Oprah said it best when she screamed, "You get a parallel! And you get a parallel!" If you open a Mega box you will get a parallel. Almost 25% will be parallels. The saving grace is the new case hit insert Phazes.

🃏🃏 for VALUE: Death by a 1,000 cuts. Because you get so many parallels, it destroys any value to be had. Typical Optic retail. The Hyper Pink parallels aren't as cool as October would have you believe. Add to that, only two will be Rated Rookies, and you have a pile of pink vets.

🃏🃏 for DESIGN/FORMAT: If you remember one thing, remember Hyper parallels equal print lines. Plus the centering is an issue this year. Box format, on it's surface, sounds great. It's not. You should be getting 3 Rated Rookies per box based on the checklist ratio of vets to rookies. Instead, you get 2.

🃏🃏 for COLLECTABILITY: Yes, the Rated Rookies are iconic. The Hyper Pinks less so. This isn't me telling you this. It's the hobby.
