This video is about hand pollinating passion fruit flowers. If you really want to increase the load of production of your passionfruit vines, then you may need to consider hand pollination. If you do not have any natural pollinators visiting your passion fruit vines then you may not get fruit.In this video I show you how to take pollen from the flower and put it where it needs to go to make the fruit. By removing the pollen pad and wiping it on the pollen receptor you increase the chances of producing a passion fruit. In technical terms, we are taking pollen from the anther (pollen pad) and wiping it on the stigma (pollen receptor) and the fruit will develop in the ovary (bulb shape in center of flower) and you get a fruit developing if weather conditions continue. Once it gets cold, the vines hibernate and production starts again in warmer weather.
