Somebody walked into the offices of CRY 104FM, the Youghal Community Radio station in Youghal, County Cork, Ireland, and told them of an Old Time Photographic Studio called Cobh Pastimes. CRY 104FM checked the Cobh Pastimes website and Facebook page and contacted Fionnughuala and asked her if she would like to come down to Youghal and be interviewd live on the radio. Fionnghuala and myself duly went down to Youghal where she was interviewed and I was able to video and capture this event for posterity. The people we met there were very nice and down to earth. Kieran Kidney was the interviewer and afterwards we spoke at length to Pat Carroll about Cobh Pastimes and community radio in Youghal. Youghal is a seaside town about 25 miles up the coast east of Cobh. Moby Dick, the 1956 movie starring Gregory Peck was filmed here. Sir Walter Raleigh, of potato and Virginian tobacco fame was also here in the 16th. century and there is a hotel named after him.
