The newest addition to The Hunger Games franchise is coming March 2025 and I thought the best way to celebrate would be to determine once and for all: Did Suzanne Collins copy Battle Royale?
In my research I found out that Quentin Tarantino was among the first to publically call out The Hunger Games for allegedly copying the 1999 novel Battle Royale.
In this video I compiled a list of over 20 SIMILARITIES across these two books as well as some differences. Despite being a long-time fan of The Hunger Games, I tried to approach this a unbiased as possible.
I have my own conclusions about these books. Let's see if you agree.
