Southern Italy’s Puglia region has been hit by a series of bombings and arson attacks since the start of the year.
It is a sign of the local mafia’s continued presence in a region where the government is trying to root out organised crime. The community has been trying to rid itself of the mafia for years.
But as Al Jazeera's Adam Raney reports from the city of Foggia, that is unlikely to happen anytime soon.
