The Piedmont Pilgrimage is an annual tour of model railroads built by members of the Piedmont Division, Southeastern Region, National Model Railroad Association, Inc. The Piedmont Division, which organizes the Pilgrimage each year, is one of the largest divisions in the NMRA in terms of membership and is also among the most active. For five consecutive weekends beginning in late October through November, model railroaders have the opportunity to view the finest layouts anywhere.
This video shows a brief look at Bert Jarrell's Southern Railway, Asheville & Spartanburg in the 1929 era. Bert started his railroad just over a year ago, and you will find yourself amazed at what he has accomplished in that short length of time. Obviously this is his first time making his railroad available to the public. When completed, it will consist of three levels, but you will see a fully functional model railroad on the first 1-1/2 levels today.
