A few weeks after posting my Work in Progress on this etude, here is the (more or less) final version! I ended up getting some suggestions from Eugene Friesen himself, which was amazing and super helpful for getting the speed up, and I will keep working on this one to make it even more solid.
This is a single unedited live take - I have a few details I'd still want to improve but as of May 2020 this is the way it sounds.
SLAP is out of the Contemporary Cello Etudes book compiled by Mike Block with contributions from many amazing contemporary cellists like Eugene Friesen, going over tons of contemporary styles and playing techniques.
