I didn't have any good way to pick up my heavy machinery or heavier raw materials for transportation. So I decided to build a simple gantry crane that can pick up my machines and load them into the trailer.
I don't intend to use this on super heavy loads, so the structural square tubing and corner braces are not that heavy gauges. I'm not an engineer and I'm not sure about my calculations, so I'm not going to give specifications on the material I used. If you want to make something similar, please make your calculations.
Otherwise, this was a pretty simple project. I wanted the wheels to be changeable and removable so they are attached with nuts. But everything else is welded together. So it's not coming apart without an angle grinder.
