Today we begin another series on Make Overs not Left Overs. Today we start with Ham.
Recipe
You will need a ham, I used a 10 pound bone-in ham, some pineapple slices, some Maraschino cherries, some brown sugar, and some spices.
Place your ham in a baking dish and preheat your oven. cover the top with pineapple slices, using toothpicks to hold them in place. Put a cherry inside each pineapple slice and where the slices come together, also using a toothpick to hold things in.
Create the glaze by combining brown sugar, pineapple juice and the spices of your choice. I used several.
Bake the ham in your pan, tented with foil until completely warmed and the glaze is melted.
Remove from the oven and allow to sit for at least 10 minutes.
Suggested serving sides, steamed asparagus and baked sweet potatoes.
