Smart Race from Deltarune orchestrated. This is the theme for battling Berdly.
Can we all agree that Berdly is based? Or at least the best character in Deltarune Chapter 2? It is surprising how much he ended up growing on me towards the end.
This cover was a lot easier to make than the Cyber World remix as the theme lends itself to orchestration really well. Probably the most difficult part of the arrangement was the several large leaps that occur in the first melody, which sounds weird on most instruments. At first I wanted a trumpet to play that line but it ended up sounded ridiculous.
To keep the cover from being too boring, I decided to add both Noelle's theme and Susie's theme, as Berdly believes himself to be in a love triangle between them. I'm not too sure how well it fits but the cover felt wrong without it.
Hopefully we get to see more of Berdly in the future because he's now my favourite.
