ગુજરાતના ડાંગ, વલસાડ, નવસારી અને આસપાસના આદિવાસી વિસ્તારોમાં માવલી માતાની પૂજા એક પ્રાચીન અને પરંપરાગત વિધિ છે. આ પૂજા મુખ્યત્વે કૃષિ અને પ્રકૃતિ સાથે ઘનિષ્ઠ રીતે જોડાયેલ છે.
આદિવાસી સમાજ મુખ્યત્વે ખેતી પર આધારિત હોય છે. જ્યારે વર્ષના પાકની લણણી પૂર્ણ થાય છે, ત્યારે તેઓ કંસારી માતા, જેને માવલી માતા તરીકે પણ ઓળખવામાં આવે છે, તેની વિશેષ ઉપાસના કરે છે.
આ પૂજાનો મુખ્ય હેતુ છે:

-- વર્ષભર મળેલા ધન-ધાન્ય માટે કૃતજ્ઞતા વ્યક્ત કરવી,
-- અને આવતા વર્ષે સારો પાક, સમૃદ્ધિ અને સુખ-શાંતિ મળે તે માટે આશીર્વાદ મેળવવા.
-- માવલી માતાની પૂજા આદિવાસી જીવનની પ્રકૃતિપ્રેમ, કૃષિપરંપરા અને સાંસ્કૃતિક એકતા નો જીવંત પ્રતીક માનવામાં આવે છે.

In the tribal regions of Dang, Valsad, Navsari and nearby areas of Gujarat, the worship of Mavli Mata is an ancient cultural ritual deeply connected with agriculture and nature.

Since the Adivasi community primarily depends on farming, they offer a special prayer to Kansari Mata, also known as Mavli Mata, after the harvest season is completed.

The purpose of this worship is to:

express gratitude to the goddess for the year’s harvest,
thank her for providing prosperity and well-being,
and seek blessings for a good crop, happiness, and abundance in the coming year.
Mavli Mata worship symbolizes the love for nature, agricultural heritage, and cultural unity within the Adivasi community.
