kabe śrī caitanya more kôribena dayā
kabe āmi pāibô vaiṣṇava-pada-chāyā

2)
kabe āmi chāḓibô e viṣayābhimāna
kabe viṣṇu-jane āmi kôribô sammāna

3)
gala-vastra kṛtāñjali vaiṣṇava-nikaṭe
dante tṛṇa kôri’ dā̃ḓāibô niṣkapaṭe

4)
kā̃diyā kā̃diyā jānāibô duḥkha-grāma
saṁsāra-anala hôite māgibô viśrāma

5)
śuniyā āmāra duḥkha vaiṣṇava ṭhākura
āmā’ lāgi’ kṛṣṇe āvedibena pracura

6)
vaiṣṇavera āvedane kṛṣṇa dayāmaya
e henô pāmara prati ha’bena sadaya

7)
vinodera nivedana vaiṣṇava-caraṇe
kṛpā kôri’ saṅge lahô ei akiñcane

TRANSLATION

1) When will Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu bestow His mercy upon me? When will I attain the shade of the lotus feet of the Vaiṣṇavas?

2) When will I renounce my identity as the enjoyer? When will I honor the Vaiṣṇavas?

3) With a cloth around my neck, my hands folded, and straw between my teeth, I shall stand before the Vaiṣṇavas, free of duplicity.

4) Bitterly weeping, I shall relay all my miseries and beg for relief from the blazing fire of material existence.

5) When the venerable Vaiṣṇavas hear of my sufferings, they will appeal to Śrī Kṛṣṇa profusely on my behalf.

6) In response to the Vaiṣṇavas’ prayers, the all-merciful Śrī Kṛṣṇa will become compassionate upon this wicked person.

7) Bhaktivinoda prays to the lotus feet of the Vaiṣṇavas, “Be merciful and take this destitute person into your association.”
