That band came from Los Angeles, CA. As one of the most productive acts from the West Coast, they issued no less than five singles and an LP between 1965 and 1969. Playing at clubs on the Sunset Strip, they started their career with "Subway Train" (Carl, Gentile, Moehrle)/"Sunday Stranger" (Billy Strange) in 1965 on Philipps. In 1966 they released their second single "Chocolate Matzos"/"Night Mist Blue" (Warner Bros. 5821) as The East Side Kids. These guys offered two more 45s in 1967 with the fantastic "Take A Look In The Mirror"/"Close Your Mind" (Orange-Empire 500) as East Side Kids in January and "Little Bird"/"Listen To The Wise Man" (Valhalla 672). Their only LP was released in 1968 : "Tiger And The Lamb" (UNI 73032) shows them performing a more mainstream, polished flower-pop, far from their early garage and psychedelic experiences. A final effort was issued in February, 1969 but both sides came from the LP : "Taking The Time"/"Is My Love Strong" (UNI 55105) (as The East Side Kids).
