Step aboard one of Milan’s most beloved icons: the 1920s-era ATM Class 1500 trams, known locally as Ventottos. Built between 1928 and 1930 and inspired by the American Peter Witt design, these trams remain in daily service across the city.
Their varnished wood interiors, brass fittings, and classic sounds have become part of Milan’s identity. Long after newer trams arrived, the 1500s continue to glide through the streets, in regularly-scheduled passenger service!
