Stunning Male Greater Double-collared Sunbird | Dullstroom Birding at Millstream Farm

This video captures a beautiful male Greater Double-collared Sunbird, Scientific name Cinnyris afer, outside Cottage 23 at Millstream Farm in Dullstroom, Mpumalanga. The vibrant red chest of this bird stood out among the thicket of trees as it perched gracefully, and its melodic bird call filled the air. The distinct song of this sunbird can be heard clearly in the background, adding an extra touch of magic to the scene.

The Greater Double-collared Sunbird is one of South Africa’s most striking sunbirds, known for its vibrant plumage and energetic behaviour.
