Winter Steam Gala: South Devon Railway - 2025

A short trip to the South Devon Railway, for the Winter Steam Gala. Running between Buckfastleigh and Totnes, the South Devon Railway meanders along the River Dart for 7 miles. In recent years, the SDR have hosted a Winter Steam Gala to finish off the year. This year it featured an all-GWR line-up. GWR 28XX No. 2807 was the star of the show, visiting from the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway. The other visitor should’ve been Peckett 1940, however the Peckett failed on the Friday and Saturday. Resident GWR Pannier No. 6412 & GWR Small Prairie No. 5526 completed the line up. On the day of visit, a yellow weather warning for ice was in-force; it was extremely cold. Nonetheless, in no particular order, shots were taken at:
