The Day of the Dead Parade is part of the Day of the Dead Festival in Puerto Vallarta. The Day of the Dead festival continues for 2 days on the famous Malecón, the oceanfront promenade in Puerto Vallarta. It is a fantastic, colorful event. See my next video! #nancysolotrips
The Day of the Dead parade begins in the Colonia 5 de Diciembre neighborhood, continuing through the cobblestone streets of historic El Centro and ends at Los Arcos del Malecón (Arches on the Malecon).
The Day of Dead Festival always is November 1 and 2 of each year. The Day of the Dead parade honors the passing of loved ones in a festive atmosphere with music and elaborate costumes. Participants dress in “Catrinas” iconic skeletal figures, which remind us that death is a natural part of existence.
