In a major breakthrough, Kohima Police’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) has solved the shocking murder of 22-year-old Vihozhonu Zao. The prime suspect, Samuel Zao (31) her uncle...has confessed to the crime.
According to police reports, on October 25, the accused struck Vihozhonu with a piece of firewood in a fit of rage after she dismissively responded to his request to prepare tea. He then attempted to destroy evidence by disposing of her phone and the blood-stained sweater.
What began as a challenging “blind case” has now seen significant progress through the tireless efforts of the SIT.
However, the investigation is still ongoing. More details awaited.
