Just recieved a new toy or "Exocet NANO V3 155 D" board ! And now very first ride with it. The board specs: Length (cm) 255, Volume 155 L , Width (cm) 77 , Weight (Kg) 10,2 and Fin is "Cruiser 34cm + Allgaier Drift". Recommended sail size is up to 9.0 sq.
Pros: comparing with similar vol. freeride boards it have bit longer waterline and more narrow, than similar boards, that's make it more stabil in rough sea condition and the waterstarting very easy, just push a board back under boom and it lifts the rig parially off the water (lazy waterstart !). The board rails is thin, so if you carve it holds pretty well on turns.
Cons: The fin, that come with board may throw away ! It's really not designed for that board. The Allgaier System 0 dagger is ok, but the dagger tightening (adjustable) screws+silicone pieces can't adjust as tight, as needed. The result is, in choppy condition hitting hard to waves or in jump the dagger may turn partially in open position.
So the first impression ? This board is really worth to buy ! It's true all-round board and for mid to experienced riders. Some shops advertise, it's good for beginners too, but i disagree for that !
