Nothing says "America!" like graffiti on the nose of a locomotive!
Norfolk Southern EMD SD70ACe class leader #1000 was tagged by vandals & given a red, white, & blue nose!
Leading a pair of GE engines on a short intermodal under the symbol NS 22H, we caught the ace and its 2,500 ton / 2,400 foot consist at New Galilee, PA along with coal loads NS 552 led by AC44C6M #4318 and #4675. A special treat here was Union Pacific #5805 as rear dpu in the newest UP livery with the small flag on the cab. The coal drag dwarfed the IM, weighing in at 18,500 tons in 7,100 feet.
We close out at Highland Cut with #8138 leading #4800 on a 12,000 ton and 6,600 foot 36N, snaking over the summit.
We hope you enjoy the video and please have a great day!
