UNESCO（聯合國教科文組織）於2005 年將每年11 月第3 個星期四定為【世界哲學日】(World Philosophy Day)，今年的2017 世界哲學日，在台灣的我們不缺席。
由羅惠珍、顧忠華、吳豐維、耿一偉、沈清楷五人共同發起了【世界哲學日@台灣_策劃小組】，今年以實驗性的方式進行，並預計於明年(2018)擴大舉辦。

「2017 世界哲學日plus 台灣」，有兩個「普拉斯」(plus)：plus 台灣與plus 星期五，讓哲學討論更加多元。
2017 年的世界哲學日連續舉辦兩天，邀請20 餘位講者、共計16 個場次，從台灣在地、台灣與世界的關係、或講者自己關切的主題，每個場次將有40 分鐘發表，20 分鐘討論。

2017 World Philosophy Day Plus Taiwan
November 16-17, 2017

Ever since World Philosophy Day was proclaimed by UNESCO in 2005, the third Thursday of November has been celebrated annually worldwide to promote critical and independent thought. Taiwan is a staunch advocate of freedom of thought and a committed supporter of the idea behind the institutionalization of World Philosophy Day. In here we are proudly announcing that Taiwan will from this year onwards join the international community to celebrate it and make every endeavour to encourage critical thinking among the young – hence, the launch of World Philosophy Day Plus Taiwan, which is organized by a group of intellectuals and scholars who are concerned with the fate of this island and beyond.

To mark the start of World Philosophy Day Plus Taiwan, we have decided to extend it into a two-day festival, comprising of 16 philosophy talks by 21 speakers. All are welcome and free of charge. Please see attached for programme details. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
