Some scientists and pyramidologists claim that the largest and oldest pyramid in the world is located in Visoko. (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

The Bosnian Pyramids, also known as the European Pyramids, are a controversial archaeological and geological site located in Visoko, Bosnia and Herzegovina. First claimed in 2005 by researcher Semir Osmanagić, these structures, particularly Visočica Hill, have been suggested to be ancient pyramids built by an advanced civilization. The largest of these formations is the so-called Pyramid of the Sun, standing at 220 meters, making it taller than Egypt’s Great Pyramid of Giza. Other formations include the Pyramid of the Moon, Pyramid of the Dragon, Pyramid of Love, and the Temple of Mother Earth.

Supporters argue that these are man-made structures with artificial stone blocks, tunnels, and a unique energy field. Excavations have revealed a network of underground tunnels known as Ravne Tunnels, which some believe were used for ancient rituals or energy harnessing. Critics, however, dismiss the site as a natural geological formation, and mainstream archaeologists do not recognize the Bosnian Pyramids as genuine ancient structures.

Regardless of the debate, the Visoko Piramide site has become a major tourist attraction, drawing thousands of visitors interested in archaeology, history, and alternative science. The area is also known for its healing energy, meditation retreats, and eco-tourism activities.
