1924 found the undermanned Montana Grizzlies football team playing with the big boys of the Pacific Coast Conference as it's newest member.
When they stepped on the field in Seattle, the Grizzlies faced the Washington Huskies, who were undefeated and unscored upon in their first four games.
A rout was inevitable, but the Grizzlies sophomore quarterback had done the unthinkable and scored on the mighty Huskies, not once, but twice for Montana's lone score.
It was an afternoon that would be remembered in local sports lore for years to follow.
