Very sticky oil on the aperture blades In Canon FD 135mm 1:3.5 S. C.

My old Canon FD 135mm 1:3.5 S. C. had a lot of very sticky oil on the aperture blades, much more than I expected. So in this video I will show you how it's possible to actually repair a nice old lens, and get it to work again.


It's VERY IMPORTANT to set a small mark BEFORE unscrew the aperture assembly, just so you have the correct position, when assemble it again.


In this video I will you how it's possible, to adjust the focus so it can come out to infinity on a MIRRORLESS CAMERA with an adaptor, and in this case on the Olympus OM-D camera.

Remember to set a small BEFORE adjusting the focus ring, so you have a reference when restore the focus ring to the original position!

I use Isopropylalcohol 99% to cleaning the aperture assembly, but 70% or 80% will also work fine,


DO NOT! use Acetone, because it will soften plastic part!!!
