The Sony ECM-G1 is a compact, high-performance shotgun microphone designed for vlogging, content creation, and general audio recording. It features a supercardioid pickup pattern, which focuses on capturing clear audio from the front while minimizing background noise from the sides and rear.

The microphone is lightweight, easy to mount on a camera without a 3.5mm cable if you have a compatible Sony mirrorless camera, and doesn't require batteries, drawing power from the device it’s connected to. It's equipped with a windscreen to reduce wind noise, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.

I've been really enjoying the level up of audio from the already pretty impressive in camera microphones on the Sony ZV-E1.
