I wouldn’t recommend anyone take the risks I did to make these video series. The danger was real— But I knew I had to show the reality of what’s happening in Haiti.

The whole country is on the brink of collapse. Gangs now control 80% of the capital, Port-au-Prince.The president was assassinated, and the current leader has fled the country. Streets are full of danger, thousands of prisoners have escaped, and extreme poverty is everywhere. Entire neighborhoods have been burned to the ground, and families are left homeless. Despite the U.S. government's warning for all Americans to avoid traveling to Haiti, I've decided to trust a guy I met online to guide me through this turmoil.

To uncover the roots of this crisis and, eventually, meet Haiti's most notorious gang leader, Barbecue.

This is the beginning of a series exploring Haiti, exposing the lasting impacts of centuries of exploitation by France, the USA, and others.

This is my journey into the heart of the world's most dangerous country!
