The Ritz-Carlton Montreal is the Oldest Ritz-Carlton of Them All

Opened in 1912, the Ritz-Carlton Montreal is the oldest Ritz-Carlton in the world and arguably remains the iconic hotel chain's crown jewel. Housed in a historic building built by the same architectural firm as New York's Grand Central Station, the hotel offers legendary service, spectacular guest rooms, suites and residences and features a long list of unforgettable guests over its 110-year history, including Queen Elizabeth II, Winston Churchill, Sophia Loren, The Rolling Stones, Celine Dion, Oprah Winfrey, Howard Hughes and perhaps most famously, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, who were married in the Royal Suite in March 1964.
