Trades in training: take a look at our carpentry department in action February 2024

In this video, we see some recent students working on different practical woodworking tasks in the carpentry workshop at Able Skills.

For anyone new to the trade, we have an Introduction to Carpentry course assured by City & Guilds.

During the five-day course you will learn:

• How to use hand tools such as chisels and planes
• How to cut basic joints
• How to cut and fit architraves and skirtings
• How to fit a Lock
• How to fit a door into a lining/frame (time permitting)
