Recognized with 3 Knives and awarded “Best Chef Dining Experience” by The Best Chef Awards, Amisfield offers a journey that goes far beyond a traditional meal.
Dinner features two tasting menus: the Amisfield menu and the more extensive Chef’s menu. We chose the Chef’s menu, a culinary odyssey structured into five acts - each highlighting a different aspect of the region through Vegetables, Charcuterie, Seafood, Wild Game, and Dessert.
This menu is Chef Vaughan’s playground - and he doesn’t hold back. Our dinner featured bold, theatrical dishes including pate-stuffed duck heads, pig-snout-shaped mortadella, marbled abalone saucisson, and ice cream disguised as a sheep’s horn.
But this isn’t shock for the sake of it. All of the meat in our meal was sustainably hunted in the wild, and the menu is deeply rooted in provenance - challenging diners to reconnect with the origins of their food.
Elevating the experience further was an exceptional wine pairing featuring several selections from Amisfield Vineyard, the estate’s own organic winery.
After more than 30 stunning courses, we left with full hearts, full stomachs, and a night of memories that will stay with us for years to come.
