WCW Great American Bash 2000 is another pay per view produced by Vince Russo and Eric Bischoff. The event features the continuation of the New Blood vs Millionaire's Club rivalry as the guys in charge try to make life difficult for the legends of the past. Both Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan could lose their careers tonight if they get beaten by their opponents; Hogan takes on Billy Kidman while Ric Flair battles his son David. The New Blood's Vampiro takes on Sting in the infamous Human Torch match, the only time such a match has ever taken place in WCW, and the main event features Kevin Nash trying to win the world belt from Jeff Jarrett.

A huge heel turn also happens at the end of the show, a heel turn that wasn't well received by WCW audiences.
