The Trans Australian Railway is a key freight route connecting Western Australia with the rest of the country. The railway between Port Augusta and Tarcoola is used by Freight Trains heading to both Perth & Darwin from Adelaide and the eastern states. World-famous passenger trains "The Ghan" and the "Indian Pacific" also use the railway weekly in each direction.

09:35 - A nearly 24 Hour late 6MP4 at Wirrappa S Curve with NR62/NR58 on Sunday the 22nd of April 2018. The service was late after five-pack wagon split in the middle of the train near Pinera in the Adelaide Hills 36 hours earlier.
