Evidence suggests that turquoise was mined in the surrounding areas as far back as 600 AD! Turquoise is often called the "Sky Stone" and for good reason. It's like holding a piece of the sky in the palm of your hand. Turquoise is the birthstone for those born in the month of December.

Located in northwestern Arizona, the Kingman Mine was once one of the largest turquoise mines in North America. The terms “Kingman” or “High Blue” refer to the distinct blue color often displayed by this stone, which has become an industry color standard. The mine is renowned for its bright blue nuggets with a unique black matrix.
