Work continues on the roof. As the title suggests a lot of time is being spent on burning, brushing and oiling floor boards. The Shou Sugi Ban technique that we're using has turned out to be a great way to reclaim the wood we so gingerly dismantled from the farmhouse. Deeply stained boards that would otherwise be a huge pain to refinish are ready to install with just a little elbow grease. Oh yeah, we also put a light in our outhouse : )
