WCBS-AM Radio, 9:15 p.m., February 7, 1971, during the all-city power blackout that hit Manhattan, the first power outage to knock off the air all New York television stations since the Great Northeastern Blackout of November 1965. Note: I first uploaded my recording of this in 2017 and this upload is an upgrade. I went back to my original reel-to-reel recording and got a cleaner recording off it and corrected the speed. That video, which I am taking down to replace with this, received 882 views. Also a couple of people said that they believed this was on Feb. 2, not Feb. 7. They were using Wikipedia as their source. I went back and checked not only my recorded comments that night but other New York records as well and it did in fact happen on the 7th and Wikipedia has it incorrect.
