How to put SNOW under the microscope (without taking the microscope out into the cold) 🔬 177

Here I explain to you how to make a permanent microscope slide of snow. Ice crystals and snowflakes can look beautiful under the microscope. The method is fairly simple and does not take a lot of time. As a matter of fact, I think it belongs to one of the simpler specimen preparations. The play with colors and light only works with DIC microscopes, but other microscopes also produce nice images. I recommend that you try oblique illumination.
