In this amazing Urdu moral story, greed leads everyone to their own punishment.
Man Mitha works as a clerk for a rich Chaudhry, and Batu also works on the same estate. One day the Chaudhry asks them to cut wood from the jungle for the coming winter. While chopping, Batu notices a strange light shining from a tree—and suddenly the entire forest turns into gold trees!
Batu innocently tells Mitha, but Mitha’s greed grows. He throws Batu and his wife into the river so they cannot tell anyone and secretly begins collecting the golden treasure. When the Chaudhry learns about the gold forest, he too becomes greedy. He locks up Mitha and his wife in the jungle and plants bombs under the trees, hoping to shake all the gold free.
But when the bombs explode, the greedy ones are destroyed along with the forest. The story ends with a powerful lesson: Greed always brings destruction and honesty always wins.
