Take a step back in time and fly in close formation to Mikael Carlson and his Fokker DR.I Triplane.

This clip is part three of Fokker DR.I raw footage, taken back in 2011. The clip shows some stunning air-to-air footage we made over Gelnhausen (Germany). The footage is uncut and unedited with original sounds from the open door of a Dornier DO27 - for all fans of this fantastic replica, built by Mikael Carlson. This footage was taken for our movie "Fokker DR.I over Germany", which could also be found on our YouTube channel.

It is awesome to fly in close formation to a "legend of aviation". You can hear the fantastic sound of the original WWI Le Rhône rotary engine (110 hp), though there has been heavy airstream and the engine sound of the Do27.
