Denmark is a country that many love to live in. Others are, however, opposed to living in Denmark for obvious reasons. The Nordic country in the south-central part of Northern Europe which is also the metropolitan part of the Kingdom of Denmark, is indeed not a bad country to live in. As a constitutionally unitary state, it includes the autonomous territories in the North Atlantic Ocean, such as the Faroe Islands and Greenland. For a fact, everyone on both sides of the divide has a reason to either live in or leave Denmark. In this video, we’ll be taking a look at the pros and cons of living in Denmark. You’re sure to find what’ll match your opinion.

Let us start with a discussion of the pros of living in Denmark.
Pros of Living in Denmark
1. High Standard of Living
The standard of living in Denmark is relatively high. This high standard of living is the first pro of living in Denmark that we’d love to mention first. Let’s take it from the angle of quality of food. It has the highest quality of food in the world. There are many organizations checking on the quality of food in restaurants and supermarkets in the country. Besides, you enjoy almost everything that makes life easy in the country.
2. Strong Social Welfare System
This is one of the pros of living in Denmark that we can’t overemphasise. The country has a strong social system that makes it so appealing for anyone to live there. For instance, health coverage in the country is free because it’s going to be deducted from the tax you pay. Paternity and maternity leaves are equally split between both parents. Danes also enjoy 5 weeks of paid vacation. You don’t have to worry about tax rates because you know what your tax is spent on.
3. Very Clean
Denmark is certainly a very clean country. There are neat trails through all the forests. Mountain bike trails are very common with resplendent cleanliness. Cleanliness, they say, is close to godliness. This cliché is clearly demonstrated in this country with a clean environment, clean water, and clean cities. No wonder there’s little corruption in this city. Others are amazed by the neatness of this country with a clean economy with little or no corruption. This may explain why everyone from many other countries is amazed by the lack of natural disasters.
4. High Salary
Denmark is among the most attractive countries for expats in Europe. This is because the country offers attractive salaries, both in terms of average salaries and minimum wages. Understandably, there’s no minimum salary set by law in the country. Nevertheless, workers in Denmark can expect to earn something around 15,300 DKK net each month. Compared with the average salary in the EU, this is a great salary. Overall, even if your income is the minimum in the city you’re living in, you’ll still be able to earn a decent living in the country.
5. Free Education
Education, from start to finish, is paid for by the state. Every student is given a stipend. Even immigrants are not excluded; they’re generally eligible for this. The country is known for its good high schools and universities. Even if you’re interested in educating yourself or upgrading your education at different institutions throughout your whole life, you don’t have to pay for this in Denmark; the state will pay for this. This is because it recognizes that better education means better, happier and more enlightened citizens. This in the long run produces better companies as highly qualified people will be employed to work in those companies. In the final analysis, the country’s economy will be better for it.
6. You Don’t Need a Car
Living in Denmark, you don’t really need a car. This is due to the efficiency of the country’s great public transportation. Residents can come home 24/7 by bus or train without having to worry about means of transportation. This is a very great pro of living in Denmark. You can live your whole life in the country without having a car if you simply have your bike and by using intra- and inter-city public transport, using trains and buses. If you need a car for temporary use, just rent it. It’ll be a lot cheaper than having your own car
