The Nigerian Presidency is facing serious embarrassment after attempting to spin a New York Times investigative report titled “The Screwdriver Salesman Behind Trump’s Airstrikes in Nigeria” as vindication of its long-standing claim that IPOB and Biafra activists fabricated the Christian genocide narrative in the United States.
According to the Presidency’s Special Adviser on Policy Communications, Daniel Bwala, the report allegedly proves that a so-called “screwdriver salesman”—the founder of Intersociety, an NGO—was responsible for influencing President Donald Trump’s decision to designate Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC) over religious persecution.
However, this video exposes the glaring contradictions and dishonesty in that claim.
👉 The Tinubu administration itself, through Foreign Affairs Minister Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, has openly admitted that:
US airstrikes on terrorists in Nigeria were a collaborative effort between Nigeria and the United States.
Nigeria was first designated a Country of Particular Concern in 2020, long before the current propaganda narrative blaming IPOB or one individual.
So how can the Presidency now claim the designation and US actions were the handiwork of a lone activist?
This video breaks down:
The New York Times report and what it actually says
The contradictions between Daniel Bwala and Yusuf Tuggar
The attempt to shift blame to IPOB and Biafra activists
Why this narrative is collapsing under international scrutiny
📌 This is not just a media issue — it is about credibility, foreign policy, and Nigeria’s global image.
