I made a spring pole lathe for my bench top a couple of years ago, since moving my bench I've changed it a little. In this video I show you how this traditional woodworking tool operates.
Admittedly I need a lot more experience with this lathe and perhaps some green wood to use with it. I've only ever turned dried wood on the lathe and have never really had any instruction on how to use it except for a few people helping me on my Twitch stream who gave me some great tips.
It's inspired by a traditional woodworker called Roy Underhill, creator of the TV show 'The Woodwrights Shop'. He is a huge inspiration for me and one of the reasons I got into using hand tools, a very knowledgeable man and well worth watching.
Thank you for viewing, check out the various links below if you'd like to see what else I get up to.
