I completed the Tour du Mont Blanc in mid-September 2025 on a camp-to-camp trekking adventure. The trek took me 7 days, starting from Chamonix. I carried all the essentials with me: tent, sleeping bag, mattress, and camping stove. This allowed me to keep costs low—around €250, excluding tickets.
My backpack weighed between 14 and 16 kilos, depending on the food I had. I could have carried even less if I had been more aware of where food was available along the route. The weight wasn’t a deterrent; I just maintained a slower, steady pace. Of course, every night my shoulders were exhausted—but I made it!
To finish the TMB in 7 days without covering huge distances each day, I took two buses: one from Hobo Camping to Courmayeur (saving about 7 km) and another from La Fouly to Champex-Lac (saving 15 km). On Day 7, I planned to wild camp near Lac Blanc, but due to a bad weather forecast, I ended the trek at Argentière and took a bus back to Chamonix. I visited Lac Blanc the next day via cable car.
