Welcome back to our BPMN in Action series. Here, we will show why Business Process Model and Notation is the global standard for business process modeling and how it works in different industries and use cases. We will also review best practices, situation patterns, tips and tricks, and more, so be sure to stay tuned!

In part 2 of our deep dive into Best Practices for Process Modeling, Developer Advocate Nele Uhlemann will discuss the different scopes that exist for BPMN diagrams, questions to consider when determining which scope will best fit the needs of your organization, and important scoping rules to keep in mind.

The different scopes you will learn more about in this video include Internal vs. External Parties, Strategic vs. Operational Scopes, and Technical vs. Human Workflow. This tutorial will demonstrate how to plan for input from external parties before exploring the differences between operational and strategic process models, as well as a few basic rules for creating easy-to-read diagram types. Lastly, this video will discuss the differences between human task orchestration and technical workflows as well as how both can be combined in the same process model for seamless process orchestration.
