In 94 or 95 I went to the Grahamstown Festival for the first time and my first show was "Not the Midnight Mass"...
I realised I was watching extraordinary talent and later got to know Graham and about his passion project Carmagedon. Late 1999 we spoke about how funding could be raised and I proposed a documentary. Life got in the way and the film became dormant. This rare footage I recently uncovered in my archive and put together this film as a small tribute to a great talent. My hope is that his musical will one day get the support it deserves and be performed. The artists in the film are Tina Schouw, Christine Weir, Adrian Galley and Graham Weir.
Like so many great artists Graham left us way to soon, may this be a happy memory for the many, many folks he and his fellow artists brought so much joy.
