A tutorial on how to paint a chestnut model horse in 10 layers of pastels. This is just how I personally go about painting and not the right or only way to customize.
EDIT: I have moved on from the model horse hobby and am not actively painting model horses. I now do model work professionally and no longer have time for personal projects that don't pay the bills. I may redo my tutorials someday but not any time in the near future. Thank you for the support all these years, I'm glad to have inspired and helped so many people learn to paint.

Primer or gesso
Alphacolor earth tone set chalk pastels
Acrylic Paint
Clear Nail Polish/Gloss Medium
Sandpaper
Files or nail files
